Sevilla Hope To Take Aliaksandr Hleb From Barcelona

Belarussian is attracting interest from all over Europe....

Unsettled Barcelona midfielder Aliaksandr Hleb could be handed a way out by Sevilla. Hleb has told Blaugrana coach Pep Guardiola that he intends to stay at the club, even though the coach had made it clear he wasn't required.

Barcelona excluded the midfielder from their pre-season trip to Norway after Hleb's return from Stuttgart in Germany, where he spent last season on loan.

The agent of the player, Mintzlaff Oliver, confirmed yesterday that two clubs have shown interest in his player, according to Sport.es. Both Sevilla and Tottenham are interested in saving the player from a season of abandonment.

This has alerted new Fulham boss Mark Hughes who, despite having a reported €30 million transfer kitty, wants to take Hleb on loan, according to the Mirror. Barcelona may be reluctant to let the Belarussian go on loan again with only two years left on his contract, as an opportunity to cash in on the player might be too tempting.

Sevilla is the most likely destination according to Spanish sources stating a good relationship with Barcelona. Sevilla continue to look to strengthen their midfield after signing Luca Cigarini from Napoli yesterday.
