Benfica Show Interest In Manchester City Outcast Robinho - Report
Portuguese club Benfica are the latest club to be linked with Brazilian international Robinho, according to the News of the World.
The striker is believed to be desperate for a move away from Manchester City, but it seems the Eastlands club will want at least a £20 million return on the £32.2m they paid Real Madrid in August 2008.
But it is also been suggested that Robinho could also be used as bait to lure David Luiz away from Benfica. However Manchester City will face competition from Premier League champions Chelsea for Luiz’s signature, with both teams already tabling bids of £27m for the Brazilian defender.
Meanwhile Robinho is due back in Manchester this week but will be kept waiting to discuss any deal as the team is in Germany ahead of their friendly against Borussia Dortmund.
The South American has been on loan at former club Santos after falling out with City boss Roberto Mancini.
