Juventus striker Amauri has said he is not interested in joining Real Madrid amid reports Jose Mourinho was tracking him.

On Friday, Il Corriere dello Sport claimed Mourinho had called directors in Turin to make enquiries for the Brazilian-born hitman.

But while Amauri conceeded he was happy with the interest in Madrid, he maintained he would not be making sweeping changes as he encourages a stay with the Old Lady.

"Real Madrid? It's a pleasure hearing of Mourinho's request, but I have only Juventus in my head," he told Il Corriere dello Sport.

"I want to stay in Turin so that I can show my real value."

Amauri underlined his intent further in Tuttosport as he admits he feels ready for a stellar season.

"I am back now and my Real Madrid is here," he said.

The hitman's agent Giampiero Pocetta also said there was no reason to leave for Real Madrid as he campaigns for a Juve stay.

"He wants to keep faith in his Juventus contract. Amauri is an important player and he is working really hard," said the agent.

"His will is to remain at Juventus. If Real Madrid knock on the door for Amauri, then it is a stimulus for him to do well."
