Inter midfielder Dejan Stankovic doesn't feel Mario Balotelli's imminent move to Manchester City will be a burden on their chances of success.

He compared the move to that of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's departure for Barcelona last season. Critics said the Nerazzurri were doomed, but they went on to achieve the unexpected.

And Stankovic feels the same will happen once Balotelli leaves - negotiations for the hitman are still ongoing with Manchester City with the emphasis on the deal hinging on wage demands.

"The loss of Balotelli? Italian football has lost many talents with class, not just young and promising players," he told Il Corriere dello Sport.

"Ibrahimovic for example. It seemed that Inter couldn't even take to the field without him, but with all respect to Zlatan, we won everything."

Maicon is also expected to leave for Real Madrid, and the Serbian is unhappy.

"Maicon is like a brother. Inter will lose a great player because there are no other Maicons around," he concluded.
