Liverpool Defender Emiliano Insua Set To Join Fiorentina - Report
A move looks certain now...
By Subhankar Mondal
Liverpool defender Emiliano Insua is set to join Fiorentina, according to the latest reports emanating from England.
It was suggested earlier this week that both clubs had already agreed an undisclosed fee for the player but the Viola were unable to meet Insua's personal demands. This led to a belief in some quarters that the Merseyside club would be forced to keep the Argentine full-back.
However, Skysports.com now claims that a deal is in the process of being struck and that Insua will become a Fiorentina player in the not so distant future. It is reported that the left-back will sign a three-year contract with the Florence-based club as early as next week.
Insua has been with the former European champions for three years but new manager Roy Hodgson is willing to sell him to raise funds to sign other players over the summer.
