Inter's Mario Balotelli Will Conquer The Premier League - Manchester City Boss Roberto Mancini
Mancini expects Balotelli to take England by storm...
By Salvatore Landolina
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini believes Mario Balotelli will become the king of English football once he completes his expected move there from Inter. And the coach expects some regal performances.
The striker is on the verge of joining the Premier League outfit as weeks of negotiations draw towards a conclusion. Inter are expected to rake in €30 million plus bonuses from the transfer with the player earning a whopping €4m per annum across five years - plenty of time to become a showcase star in England.
"I gave him his debut in Serie A because he has talent, like many Inter players, and I know him well," Mancini told Il Corriere dello Sport.
"It's not true that he has a difficult character. At that age everyone makes mistakes. Mario is a good kid.
"And good players do well wherever they go. He can show his values here in England too."
Mancini though did not confirm a deal was done, that is likely to arrive via the clubs officially once the move is cleared.
"We are looking for a striker and he is one we have been looking at. I like him," he concluded.
