Borussia Dortmund manager Juergen Klopp has admitted that Sunderland target Nelson Valdez will leave the club this summer.

Speaking after his team's 2-1 victory over Dynamo Dresden, the Dortmund coach confirmed that the Paraguayan striker will leave this summer.

"He’s been back in training for four days," Klopp said. "He trained very, very well but he’ll leave us."

After impressing for Paraguay at this summer’s World Cup in South Africa, Valdez has been heavily linked with a move to Sunderland, with the club reported to have had two bids rejected already.

The player himself is keen to secure a move away from Dortmund and has confirmed that he has received a number of offers from club’s in Holland, Russia and Portugal as well as the Premier League.
