VfB Stuttgart midfielder Sami Khedira is ready to join Real Madrid as soon as the German club reach an agreement with the Spanish powerhouse, the player's agent has claimed.
The Germany international had already said last week that he is considering leaving the Bundesliga for an adventure abroad and that at the moment he is considering a move only to the Bernabeu. With Madrid having made no effort to eclipse his willingness to join the club and Stuttgart admitting that they will have to listen to offers for the 23-year-old, a move was always on the cards.
Jorg Neubauer has now declared his client is ready to join the nine-time European champions and that the one factor missing from the transfer getting completed is the agreement between the two clubs.
"Everything is fine for us with Real Madrid so far,'' Neubauer told Bild. "If they reach an agreement with Stuttgart, the transfer will take place.''
Khedira's contract with Stuttgart expires at the end of next season and the club's new sporting director Fredi Bobic has admitted that the defensive midfielder will have to be sold this summer in order not to lose him on a free at the end of the 2010-11 campaign.
