Felipe Melo's spokesman Emiliano Froldi has said Real Madrid's interest in the Juventus midfielder is verifiable, but maintains the Brazilian is unlikely to leave.
Marca claimed the midfielder was wanted by Jose Mourinho in Madrid, with the coach keen on reviving Melo's career following a dreadful maiden season in Turin following his arrival from Fiorentina last year.
However, Froldi feels that while there is an interest in the Bernabeu, any development into a transfer appears distant.
"It's just an appreciation and for the moment there is no contact," Froldi told Sky Sport Italia when asked on the Madrid-Melo link.
"It's an argument that is premature. Juventus have continued to believe in him. Therefore a future away from Turin seems difficult."
