Juventus are ready to redesign their transfer theme and make a €20 million bid for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan.

Il Corriere dello Sport
reports Forlan is a cheaper and more viable alternative to Wolfsburg ace Edin Dzeko, who would cost double, and whose arrival will affect the club's non-EU quota, ruling out a move for Milos Krasic of CSKA Moscow.

Luigi Del Neri followed Forlan during his World Cup run in which he was voted player of the tournament.

The Uruguayan has a Spanish passport and would have not problem arriving. Giuseppe Marotta has good relations with Atletico having spoken to them in relation to Tiago.

He is now set to observe developments as he waits to make his pitch. The Spanish club would be willing to sell their man for a €20m bid.

On Wednesday Del Neri admitted the club were still seeking reinforcements, but said they already had five strikers for two positions.
