Brazilian keen on a move to Portugal...
The Brazilian recently severed ties with the Tigers following their relegation into the Championship, which has seen the Humberside club letting go of their high wage players in an effort to balance the books.
Now the 30-year-old's representative has spoken of a potential move to play for the Portuguese heavyweights, with the player himself being keen on the move.
"It is true that Sporting Lisbon are interested in Geovanni," Assuncau told Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.
"We have been speaking about this for some weeks but we had to wait until Geovanni's situation was made clear in England.
"Now that has been made clear, and he does not enter into Hull's plans, we must now arrange a meeting to take this move further."
He added: "At present, Geovanni has had offers from Greece, Turkey and others from Brazil.
"But the priority is Sporting Lisbon in all aspects and I am hoping for more news next week."
