Inter striker Mario Balotelli has sent an inspiring message to his admirers Manchester City and Manchester United, but remained unclear over his future.
Balotelli has been strongly linked with both Manchester-based clubs who are said to be battling each other for his services. And the striker has given them something more to kick at.
"[Roberto] Mancini? He is a great coach. He let me have my Serie A debut and I admire him very much, also because he is a friend," Balotelli told Il Corriere dello Sport Stadio.
"United are also a great club... and [their interest] means I am not weak like I thought."
Yet despite being probed further on his future, the striker made clear it was agent Mino Raiola who calls the shots.
"On my future I always say 'I don't know'. An important year is ahead of me in terms of my career," he added.
"For now I am on holiday and I want to start the season well. If you want to know more then you have to ask Raiola."
Massimo Moratti said Balotelli was not for sale, but the Italian warned he needs to play more if he is to stay.
"It's nice that the president says things like that and that he considers me as a leader of the club, but I need to play. I cannot be a leader and not play," he concluded.
