The Peruvian has been linked with clubs in Italy and abroad...Juan Vargas's future has been thrown into further doubt this morning after La Nazione reported the Peruvian international to be on his way out of Fiorentina.
After having arguably his best season in Serie A and making some commanding performances in the Champions League last campaign, Europe's top clubs are sniffing around. The Italian newspaper has suggested that interest from Spain has arisen from Barcelona and Real Madrid but the more formal approaches have come from Italy.
Inter and Juventus look to be the more likely destination for the versatile left-sided player, who is renowned for his scintillating free kicks and shots.
€25 million is the figure on the head of the midfielder, however it would seem unlikely Juventus would pay such a figure. With the Milos Krasic deal from CSKA Moscow hanging in the balance due to the Turin side not meeting the required price tag, Inter may well be the front-runners.
Of course, in 2008 it was reported that Vargas had in fact signed for Real Madrid, with the Peruvian opting to remain in Italy instead by switching from Catania to Fiorentina.
The midfielder has made 51 appearances for the Viola. Striker Alberto Gilardino has claimed that Vargas is probably the best crosser of the ball the Italian international has ever played with.
