Milan Striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar Rejects Olympique Marseille Chance - Report
Huntelaar turns down Marseille, but Bayern Munich could offer new horizons...
By Salvatore Landolina
French champions Olympique Marseille are the latest club to receive a blunt "no" from Milan striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
Il Corriere dello Sport claims the Dutch international has declined an offer from L'OM, who were expected to tempt Milan with a €15 million bid.
Huntelaar feels the French Ligue 1 is not the touchstone with which he wants to be measured.
He would prefer to join forces with former Ajax coach Louis van Gaal at Bayern Munich.
The German outfit are said to be keen on him, and Bayern would offer new beginnings following a troubled season with the Rossoneri.
On Monday Huntelaar's agent Arnold Oosterveer told Portuguese paper Record that "no offers" had arrived for his client.
Meanwhile, Mario Yepes feels he can enjoy a stellar career at Milan following his arrival from Chievo.
"I am following a programme that Milan gave me so that I can be at the top," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Milan chose me because I know Serie A and I have played over 60 games in two years with little or no injuries.
"Milan needed strength in defence and I hope to use all my experience."
