Fiorentina Plan Swoop For Benfica's Barcelona Star Keirrison - Report
The Gigliati could also sign the Brazilian striker after moving for Antonio Cassano.
By Vince Masiello
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Serie A side Fiorentina’s January shopping spree is set to continue with the signing of Barcelona hitman Keirrison, who is currently on loan at Benfica.
The 21-year-old is spending the season in Lisbon on loan from the Spanish giants but has grown unsettled with his lack of playing time in Portugal.
Barca paid a reported fee of over €15 million to sign the highly-rated youngster from Palmeiras last summer.
Fiorentina director of sport Pantaleo Corvino has allegedly asked the Catalans to sign Keirrison on loan until the end of the season with an option to make the transfer permanent in the summer, and is hoping to complete negotiations before the transfer window ends on Monday.
The Tuscan side are also set to wrap up a loan deal for Sampdoria star Antonio Cassano, who is expected to undergo a medical at the Franchi today.
