The midfielder has joined the Biancocelesti on loan...
By Salvatore Landolina
Sebastian Eguren has left Villarreal to join Lazio on a loan basis until the end of the season, the Spanish club have said on their official website.
The Uruguayan midfielder will remain until June, when the Aquile will have to option to exercise their right and make the move permanent.
A statement on Villarreal's official website reads:
"Villarreal have found an agreement with Lazio for the transfer of midfielder Sebastian Eguren, who will remain in Italy until the end of the season. The Roman club will retain the option to buy the player once the season is over."
Eguren was in Italy on Wednesday, when he underwent a medical with Lazio before returning to Spain. He is expected back in the eternal city on Friday.
Lazio have not confirmed the move on their website yet. But, it seems Villarreal's statement puts an end to doubts as to whether the player would finalise his move to Formello.
