Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has confirmed to reporters at his press conference today that negotiations have begun with two Brazilian clubs about the possibility of Robinho joining them on loan.

Santos and Sao Paulo are both apparently in talks with the Citizens about taking the player back to his homeland after he has struggled for form and fitness in England this season.

"It is possible that something could happen,'' the Italian said.

"This kind of thing does happen. I know in Italy there were instances when clubs paid a lot of money for a fantastic player but afterwards he needed to play at another club.

"Negotiations are happening but for now he is part of my squad."

Meanwhile, The Daily Mail reports that the deal could bring some young Brazilian talent to Eastlands.

Santos president Luis Alvaro Ribeiro has apparently revealed that if a deal is struck with Robinho, Mancini's side would have first refusal on youngsters Paulo Henrique Ganso and Naymar.

"They want the first choice to buy the two boys. That does not bother us because we will sell the players for the best offer," he said.

"If City have the conditions to match the offer, they can have the players."
