Hamburger SV Set Sights On Milan Striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar - Report
The Bundesliga side have targeted the Dutchman, who is seeking a loan move…
By Vince Masiello
The 26-year-old has been an unknown quantity at the San Siro following last summer’s move from Spanish giants Real Madrid.
But Milan have reportedly made it clear to the player’s agent that they are not planning to release ‘The Hunter’ during the January transfer window.
However, Huntelaar insisted earlier this week that he was hoping to secure a loan transfer in order to boost his chances of making the Holland squad for next summer’s World Cup finals.
The former Ajax man also has a number of suitors in the Premier League, including Arsenal and Liverpool.
But there have been reports that Milan are hanging on to the player to use him as a bargaining chip to sign Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko next summer.
Huntelaar has managed just 11 league appearances so far this season, playing 419 minutes and netting three goals.
