Egyptian striker on Humberside...
The Egyptian striker, who is contracted to Al Zamalek, is understood to have passed a medical with the Humberside club after turning down an opportunity to join Stoke City.
The 26-year-old, who scored 11 times with Wigan last season during a temporary spell, is expected to cost in the region of £600,000 for his temporary switch.
Zaki will be a welcome addition to Tigers' manager Phil Brown with his side currently languishing in 18th place in the league.
The controversial forward had failed to land a permanent stay in the English top-flight last season after angering then manager Steve Bruce by returning late from international duty on four occasions.
Prior to that Bruce had been singing the praises of the Egyptian international, who is absent from the Africa Cup of Nations because of injury, after he fired in eight goals in his first 10 games in English football.
Brown will be hoping he will have a similar impact during his time at on Humberside.
As yet there has been no official comment from Hull or Zamalek on the proposed transfer.
