Inter Chief Massimo Moratti Curbs Spending As Mario Balotelli Is Hit In The Pocket
Word from the top is that there will be no more arrivals...
"The market? We will see, but I think we are capable of going on as we are like this. It's right for a coach to ask for new players, but I think we are ok as we are," Moratti told the press.
Inter have been linked with a move for Lazio's Serbian defender Aleksandar Kolarov, but the chief set the tone.
"We have not had any contact with him, or any other player, at the moment," he added.
The Lega Calcio have confirmed Balotelli has been fined for clapping the Chievo fans ironically after he was substituted during the 1-0 win.
A statement on the league's official website reads:
"The Inter footballer Mario Balotelli receives a €7,000 fine for repeatedly provoking the Chievo fans in the 43rd minute of the second half."
After the game, Balotelli claimed the City of Verona "was always more disgusting" every time he played there after he alledgedly received racial abuse from the home fans.
Moratti has reacted to the incident.
"It's embarrassing for me to comment or enter the argument. These are things which relate to the player," he concluded.
