Goran Pandev Set For Inter Move After Napoli Pull Out Of The Race
De Laurentiis has insisted the Vesuviani are not tracking the Macedonian hitman.
Pandev was granted a unilateral rescission of his contract with Lazio by the Collegio Arbitrale of the Italian Football League last week and there had been reports Napoli were ready to pip the Nerazzurri to his signing.
“Napoli have never been interested in Pandev,” De Laurentiis told Tuttomercatoweb.
“We have never talked about Pandev. We’ve never talked about the necessity to sign any strikers as we have plenty in our squad.”
The movie mogul’s revelation paves the way for Pandev to re-join Inter after his unsuccessful first stint at the Stadio San Siro from 2001 to 2004.
Pandev should arrive in Milan in the new year to undergo a medical and put pen to paper on a four-year deal.
