Liverpool left-back Andrea Dossena could be sold to Russian outfit Zenit St Petersburg as Reds boss Rafa Benitez looks to raise funds to spend on Norwegian forward Erik Huseklepp.
The Daily Mail reports that Dossena, who moved to Anfield from Udinese 18 months ago for £7 million, is valued at £2 million by Zenit.
That should be enough for the Reds to launch a bid for the 25-year-old Huseklepp, currently plying his trade in his homeland with Brann.
Dossena, 28, has been linked with loan deals back in Italy, with Napoli and Juventus said to be interested. Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are also believed to be tracking the left-back.
Zenit coach Luciano Spalletti is believed to be seeking defensive reinforcements as his current left-back, South Korean Kim Dong-jin, has been suffering bouts of fainting.
