Inter, Juventus, Napoli & Barcelona Tracking Gremio Defender Mario Fernandes - Agent

The agent of the Brazilian prospect has revealed a number of top European sides are in the queue to sign his client.

Mario Fernandes, Gremio
The future of Gremio centre-back Mario Fernandes lies either in Italy or Spain, according to his representative Jorge Machado.

The 19-year-old’s displays have alerted the crème of European football and Serie A champions Inter are said to be in pole position to secure his services, despite initially baulking at Gremio’s €15 million asking price.

“Mario returned to action two days ago after his injury and played a great match,” Machado told Calciomercato.com.

Fernandes shined in Gremio’s 4-2 win over Barueri on Sunday after spending  a month on the sidelines.

“He was man of the match and this is very pleasing. Besides Inter, there are other clubs that are interested in him.

“Juve and Napoli have contacted me from Italy via middle-men. And Spanish teams are also after him. For instance, Barcelona have made contact with us.”
