Francesco Totti is better than Brazilian aces Diego and Robinho, according to Roma goalkeeper Julio Sergio.

'Er Pupone' scored his 187th Serie A goal after bagging a hat-trick against Bari on Sunday - a record that speaks volumes. Sergio has now explained why he believes the Italian legend is better than the Juventus and Manchester City players.

"Totti always makes the difference ever since he played his first game as a professional for Roma," Sergio told Radio Centro Suono Sport.

"I have played with Diego, Robinho and Elano and they were not like Totti who is always able to change games on his own."

The Brazilian pulled off a fine sequence of saves to deny Bari any hope of securing a positive result, and he believes he deserves some recognition.

"I have never played in three years of being here and I hope to renew my contract soon. I know I can still improve."
