Milan are ready to swap Klaas-Jan Huntelaar for Tottenham Hotspur striker Roman Pavlyuchenko during the winter transfer window.

According to The Daily Mirror, the Rossoneri have decided to ship out the under-performing Dutchman, and he will be replaced by Pavlyuchenko who, like Huntelaar, has been less than perfect this season. The Russian has only played 11 minutes for Spurs this term.

It is said Milan have ended their wait-and-see policy with the hitman and they have put him on the transfer list.

However, the report from England seems to contradict what Huntelaar's agent said on Tuesday. Arnold Oosterveer claimed Milan have no intention of getting rid of the striker in January, and that his man would stay on at the San Siro for now.

"The sale of Klaas in January? I don't want to comment on things that are just rumours," the agent told Calciomercato.it on Tuesday.

"The truth is that Milan have not given us any signs in that respect.

"It's a difficult moment for Milan, and Huntelaar is feeling it too, but I think both club and player will come good."
