AEK Athens' Djebbour May Be Loaned To Hannover
The Algerian striker’s relationship with his coach in Greece has deteriorated further.
According to Le Buteur,
Rafik Djebbour is close to exiting Super League Greece to
join Hannover 96 in the Bundesliga.
The forward has had a stormy relationship with his coach Dosan Bajevic since joining AEK Athens but his latest run in with the Bosnian manager over not being selected for a league match may have been his last.
The two clubs are reportedly close to striking a deal that would send Mikael Forssel in the opposite direction along with approximately €2.5 million.
One of Djebbour’s Algerian national team partners, Karim Matmour, believes that the loan would be a good option for the Grenoble native.
He said, "Back when there were rumours sending him to Hannover I spoke to him about it.
"I told him that that German championship is particularly open so there’s an attacking style of play.
"This could work out for him since he likes being fed balls. The Bundesliga could be appropriate for him."
