Real Zaragoza's Alberto Zapater Having Genoa Medical - Report
The Spanish midfielder is a medical away from becoming a Genoa player...
According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, the Spanish player is on his way to Milan where he is expected to undergo a medical with Genoa doctors.
Once his tests are completed, the transfer from the Spanish side can be kicked forward. The Grifoni have beaten Fiorentina to the punch. The Viola were said to be keen on the 24-year-old, but it appears they have missed out following their reported chase of Arsenal's Emmanuel Eboue.
President Preziosi confirmed an agreement had been reached last week when he told Sky Sport Italia, "We have an agreement with both the club and the player, and I am very confident the deal won’t slip out of our hands."
Zapater is seen as the ideal replacement for Thiago Motta who joined Inter earlier this summer.
