Report: Aliaksandr Hleb To Snub Inter For Stuttgart Return

The Belarusian is reportedly set to turn down a transfer to the Italian giants in order to go back to his former club.
Aliaksandr Hleb’s move from Barcelona to Serie A champions Inter is on the verge of collapsing, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The 28-year-old was expected to join the Nerazzurri on a one-year loan as part of the deal that has seen the two clubs exchange Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Samuel Eto’o.

But it has now emerged that the ex-Arsenal man would prefer to rejoin Stuttgart, the German club where he plied his trade from 2000-2005.

Inter are already looking at alternatives in case the transfer falls through. Antonio Cassano’s name has already been mooted over the past few days, but press reports suggest that the Corso Vittorio Emanuele directors are also considering Napoli's troubled star Ezequiel Lavezzi.

However, coach Jose Mourinho’s first choice is still said to be compatriot Deco, who had been flirting with the Nerazzurri until a few weeks ago. The Portuguese has now pledged his future to Chelsea after the clubs failed to reach an agreement over a fee.
