Chelsea Should Have Appointed Roberto Mancini - Inter President Massimo Moratti
The Inter patron believes Chelsea would have been better off with 'Mancio'...
The chief has given his views on Ancelotti's move to the Premier League, stating that the former Sampdoria striker would have been a better option than 'Carletto'.
"How do I view Ancelotti at Chelsea? He has plenty to give, but [Roman] Abramovich would have been better off had he taken on Mancini," Moratti told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
The prominent oil tycoon also ruled out any further signings amid fresh reports that Antonio Cassano would come in.
"I think the team is fine as it is now; I disagree with those who say we are missing the icing on the cake," added Moratti.
"Cassano? I have [Aliaksandr] Hleb, who has to explode onto the scene. We will stay as we are."
Before Ancelotti joined Chelsea in June, reports had constantly linked Mancini with the role at Stamford Bridge, but the Premier League side landed the former Roma midfielder instead.
