The left-back’s agent confirms Napoli have tabled a €5 million and that his client is ready to negotiate terms with the Vesuviani.
Varying figures are circulating in the papers over the reported bid tabled by the Partenopei, and the player’s representative has now moved to dissipate doubts.
“Their offer is of €5 million plus bonuses - the clubs are in negotiations and we are awaiting news,” agent Federico Pastorello told TuttoNapoli.net.
“The player is currently in Singapore with Liverpool and he is also awaiting news. Although he loves being at a great club like Liverpool, he would welcome the opportunity to join Napoli with great enthusiasm.”
But would Napoli’s policy of forcing all their players to give up image rights stand in the way of a potential agreement?
“Not at all,” insisted Pastorello. “We are very keen to find an agreement. Napoli know how much he earns, which is less than €2m, but first the two clubs have to strike a deal.”
