The Ivorian’s representative claims the Viola face stiff competition for his client’s services, but he has yet to discuss his future with the Gunners.Fiorentina were set to complete the signing of wing-back Emmanuel Eboue on a five-year deal from Arsenal for a reported fee of €10 million.
The Viola are in the process of reinvesting the funds obtained from the sale of Felipe Melo to Juventus for €25m, and are also said to be edging closer to Lanus star Eduardo Salvio.
However, Eboue’s agent, Pascal Boisseau, refused this morning to entertain the rumours linking the 26-year-old with a switch to the Tuscan club and insisted his client’s future is still up in the air.
“We will talk to Arsenal over the next few days, he is settled in London, but we’ll have to see,” the representative told fiorentina.it.
“It’s not just Fiorentina after him, but there are also Spanish teams. There are no other news at the moment, we will know more in the coming days.”
