Morgan De Sanctis has joined Napoli from Sevilla and he is on his way to sign his new deal later today, according to Sky Sport Italia.

On Thursday, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis revealed the club were working on a deal with the player, and it seems to have been struck.

The report claims De Sanctis is flying to Napoli's pre-season retreat in L'Indabrunn in Austria to join up with his new team-mates and begin working.

It is said coach Roberto Donadoni is delighted with the player's arrival and an official announcement is expected from the club later. The details of the deal have not been disclosed yet.

De Sanctiis joined Sevilla in 2007, but was loaned out to Turkish side Galatasaray a year later. The 32-year-old played regularly in Turkey, but returned to Spain after his loan spell expired at the end of last season.

Sky Sport Italia are reporting the deal as official, but the club has not confirmed this just yet.
