Inter striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has his mobile phone switched on and fully charged as he waits for the confirmation call from Barcelona.
With both clubs in agreement over the fee, reportedly €50 million plus the services of Samuel Eto'o, all that remains is the nod and the wink from the Camp Nou. Reports in Italy and Spain claim the Sweden striker is on the verge of making the switch, and Sky Sport Italia believe the deal could be official as soon as tonight.
'Ibracadabra' is in Los Angeles with the Inter squad, and despite the hype, he appears unconcerened. However, he did hint that he is waiting for Barcelona to confirm what the world's press have been feeding on.
When asked whether he would still be an Inter player by Tuesday, he responded like a man who knew his time at the club was over.
"Are you waiting for a call from Barcelona?" a journalist asked the striker, as reported by Il Corriere Dello Sport.
'Ibra' answered, "Yes, we will see what happens. Let's wait.
"Our pre-season is going well and we are getting better everyday. America is very nice."
The striker tried his best to deflect questions but the press were insistent.
"Is everything done with Barcelona?" another reporter cried as fans chased the striker for autographs.
"Not yet," Ibrahimovic replied.
Inter play Chelsea in the second friendly match of their USA tour on Tuesday. Ibrahimovic's answers will only cast further doubt as to whether he will be there to play against Carlo Ancelotti's men tomorrow.
