Juventus Lay Eyes On Gremio Defender Leonardo – Report
The Bianconeri have added another name to their list of targets, according to reports...
Juventus are looking to add to their Brazilian contingent after laying eyes on Gremio defender Leonardo Renan Simeoes de Lacerda.
According to Tuttosport, Bianconeri scouts have been following the 21-year-old and they have reported back with some interesting views. Leonardo has been catching the eye for his consistently good performances, and reports in both Brazil and Italy suggest the Old Lady could table a €5 million bid for him.
Despite the growing rumours, there has not been any official comment on the speculation. Furthermore, Barcelona's Martin Caceres is said to be close to the Turin-based side. On Friday, his agent, Daniel Fonseca, claimed the Blaugrana man wanted to join Juve rather than keep the Camp Nou bench warm.
Like Caceres, Leonardo is a centre-back who can adapt to fill Juve's left-sided role. The Bianconeri are trying to strengthen on that flank, and voices claim that this is their next priority after landing Felipe Melo last week.
