The captain has been outstanding for the past three seasons and he has been rewarded with new terms. His old deal was set to expire in 2010, but the club have added another year to it. The number 10 was clearly delighted as he spoke about his future with the Old Lady.
"I can confirm my happiness and my pride with this agreement and to be here for a further year. It's a great motivation for me as I have always worked hard and i have the will to do my best," Del Piero told Sky Sport Italia during a special press conference which confirmed officially his extension.
"I am at one of the biggest clubs in Europe and I am delighted. It was a quick deal. I want to turn more pages with the club.
"I hope I can continue to play well. I was hoping for the renewal and I was expecting it as I know the deep will of this club to be first and I thought there would be no problems with the renewal and I have always had trust from the club."
Del Piero spoke of his happiness with the way the summer transfer market has turned out, and he is looking forward to a challenging season.
"I am impressed and proud of Juventus. We have done well on the market. Now we have to work hard and ensure we have a good season," added the hitman.
The captain, who has played for the club since 1993 has played down speculation that he will retired after 2011, and he feels he has what it takes to play for Italy in next year's World Cup in South Africa.
"Will I retire after 2011? No, I will be here then like I am now and we will see what happens when we get to that stage," added the Italian.
"World Cup? I have not heard from Lippi. It would be nice going to the World Cup as it would mean I would have had a good season and I would have the chance to defend the trophy with my national side, but it's Lippi's decision."
A statement on the club's official website confirmed the deal and it reads:
"Del Piero renews with Juventus until 2011. The captain signed a new deal this morning which will see him play for a further year compared to the expiry date on his last contract."
