Benfica Offer €4M For Jose Antonio Reyes - Report
The Eagles are determined to stay in the race for the Spanish winger...
After spending one season on loan at Benfica, in which he became a favourite among fans, Jose Antonio Reyes has now returned to Atletico Madrid.
Benfica are desperate to retain the services of Reyes but all their efforts made so far have fallen short of the Spanish club's €6.5 million valuation.
According to Diario de Noticias, new Benfica coach Jorge Jesus likes Reyes but does not consider him to be a priority, which is why the club have now reportedly tabled an offer of just €4 million for the remaining 75 per cent of his playing rights.
Despite having offers on the table from England, Italy and Greece, it is believed that Reyes would prefer to stay at Benfica, whom he helped to a third place in the domestic league last term.
