Porto President Pinto da Costa Slams Lyon Officials

The Porto president has lashed out at his Lyon counterpart...

Nuno Pinto da Costa - Porto
Porto president Pinto da Costa has launched an attack on Olympique Lyonnais counterpart Jean-Michel Aulas.

Lyon have been linked with a move for Porto striker Lisandro Lopez in recent weeks, but the French club are yet to match the €25 million valuation of the Argentinean.

The French side's president, Jean-Michel Aulas, was in Oporto last weekend to conduct negotiations for Lisandro, but reports in Portugal suggest that a deal is not any closer to fruition.

Despite that, Aulas was quoted in the French media as saying he was confident of the success of the negotiations for the striker, who is regarded as a replacement for Karim Benzema.

Pinto da Costa has now launched a scathing attack on Aulas, giving the example of Marseille's €18m offensive for Lucho Gonzalez.

"If they want to buy and have money, which is the case with Lyon, they should do it like Marseille did, come and close the deal," he told SportTV.

"I am convinced that nothing will happen. Someone who wants to buy does not work like Lyon have been doing."
