Adel Taarabt Still Seeking Tottenham Exit
The Moroccan midfielder is desperate for regular playing time next season and does not believe he can earn it with Harry Redknapp...
Atlas Lions midfielder Adel Taarabt recently spoke to Mountakhab.net and indicated that he was disappointed that he has not yet been allowed to leave Tottenham for another club, in order to persue his wish of becoming a regular starter.
The youngster was prepared to go to Malaga on loan but has revealed that Harry Redknapp’s staunch refusal to allow him to leave is ultimately what cancelled the potential move.
“Tottenham’s president was ok with the loan but the problem is the coach. I contacted him and told him, coach listen it’s been two years that I’ve been here and I never really got my chance. Meanwhile, there’s clubs that want me and want to give me it. I want to advance to prove and evolve my talent. I want to leave. If it’s staying at Tottenham, just to stay at Tottenham, I don’t want to do that,” he explained.
Taarabt went on to mention that Redknapp was not receptive to his request, and that he believes his player should stay put and earn his place in the side just like the rest of his team-mates.
The reaction has upset the 20-year-old who desperately wants to avoid reliving the scenario of the past two seasons and he believes that Spain would be a better fit for his style of play.
