Diego Forlan And Sergio Aguero Will Stay At Atletico Madrid - Enrique Cerezo
Cerezo has declared that the South American pair are not available for transfer...
Speculation continues to link the Uruguayan striker with the exit door at the club, with Barcelona thought to be an interested party in case negotiations for Valencia striker David Villa break down.
Aguero has also been tipped to leave the Vicente Calderon and a report in the Daily Mirror suggested that Manchester United were readying a €46 million offer for the gifted striker.
But Cerezo has now quashed reports suggesting the pair's exit, saying they are in coach Abel Resino's plans.
"Forlan will play in Atletico Madrid next year and so will 'Kun' [Aguero]," he told Radio MARCA. "Both players are happy at the club.
"I can guarantee that, for us, they will continue and we will not listen to any offers for neither of them. I have been saying this for six months.
"Atletico are no-one's second choice."
Cerezo added that Atletico have yet to be contacted for the pair, saying, "No-one has said anything to us."
He also commented on the opinion of some of the club's supporters that believe Aguero should be sold to raise funds for new signings.
"El 'Kun' is a player that is making a great career at Atletico and no-one wants him to go," he insisted.
"The big advantage we have is that we are in the waiting. If someone comes with an offer, we will have to listen.
"If we can, and we are in line to sign great players then we will."
