Garcia is one of the players that has been tipped to leave Espanyol in the summer as the club look to cash in on some of their assets as a solution to the recent financial worries.
Reports in Portugal and Spain have suggested that Porto are lining up a bid for Garcia, who has allegedly been identified as the ideal replacement for Lisandro Lopez.
Although Porto are yet to agree a fee with Lyon for the Argentinian forward, a deal seems to be imminent and the Portuguese giants have already begun their search for a substitute piece on the front.
According to Sport, the Dragons are reluctant to offer more than €5 million for the player, but Espanyol are keen to make this deal surpass the €6m mark.
As for Garcia, the player looks open to the idea of a new challenge after four years of duty at Espanyol.
