Ismael Bangoura On The Verge Of Stade Rennais Deal - Report
The Ukraine-based forward will move back to France as he is simply finalising his deal with the Breton club.
The Guinean forward, who helped shoot his Ukrainian employers into the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup last season, needs only to finalise the details of his contract before his move to the north west corner of France becomes official. It is reported that he was in Rennes speaking to club officials on Wednesday afternoon and that he is a matter of hours away from completing his move.
Saint-Etienne have tracked the striker for a considerable amount of time, but after struggling badly to avoid relegation from the French top flight last season, it seems the African is keen to sign-up with an outfit that have consistently finished in the upper third of the standings in recent seasons.
Meanwhile, Junichi Inamoto, Rennes’ first major signing of the summer, was presented to the press for the first time on Wednesday.
“I know the coach and Rennes are a good club, it's very motivating,” the Japanese international proclaimed. “On the other hand, I am very interested in the French championship, and this seduced me this opportunity.”
