Atletico Madrid To Pay Porto €3m For Paulo Assuncao – Report
Porto and Atletico Madrid have reportedly settled their differences regarding the midfielder.
Assuncao moved to the Vicente Calderon from Porto last summer on a free transfer after buying out his contract under the Webster ruling.
There has been some bad blood between the two clubs since, with Porto rejecting both attempts made by Atletico to reach an agreement regarding compensation.
However, according to news daily A Bola, Porto have now agreed to receive €3m in compensation for the midfielder's contentious switch.
The former Palmeiras man has been a regular first-team member for Atletico, making a total of 35 appearances in this first season with the club.
