Lisandro Lopez Will Not Renew With Porto - Agent
The agent of the Argentinian has cast further doubt into his client's future...
Lisandro Lopez will not accept FC Porto's offer for a contract extension, his agent has claimed.
Speculation continues to link the striker with a move to Lyon, who have seen their latest attempt, an offer worth €18 million, rejected by the Portuguese champions.
With Porto cashing in €18 million on Lucho Gonzalez, they look determined to turn down every offer for Lisandro that does not match their €25 million valuation of the player.
Following the sale of Gonzalez, the club's highest paid player, to Marseille, reports have suggested that Porto are willing to offer Lisandro an improved contract, but the Argentina international's representative has now declared that such proposals will not even be studied.
"Lisandro will not renew, our decision has been made," Fernando Hidalgo told Jornal de Noticias. "A year-and-a-half ago, we asked FC Porto for a renewal, we were told five times 'no', so there is no possibility of that happening now.
"And Lucho Gonzalez's sale has nothing to do with this case."
