The Italian champions are mulling over a bid for the French full-back after his move to Milan collapsed.
.
The 21-year-old’s €15 million transfer to the Rossoneri broke down earlier this month after a dental problem was discovered during a routine medical.
Milan tried to renegotiate the terms of the deal, but to no avail. Porto turned down the Rossoneri’s proposed one-year loan offer, which would have had a signing clause attached, and now Inter are ready to step in.
The Nerazzurri seem unwilling to be held to ransom by Brazilian wing-back Maicon, who is seeking an improved deal at the club.
President Massimo Moratti could give the go-ahead to allow his departure for either Chelsea or Real Madrid, and it is suggested that Inter have already made contact with Porto over Cissokho.
Cissokho’s arrival at the Pinetina would presumably see Jose Mourinho switch youth product Davide Santon to his natural right-back role.
