Report: Julio Cruz Set To Agree Fiorentina Terms

‘El Jardinero’ is keen to remain in Italy and looks poised to pen a two-year deal with the Viola.

Julio Cruz the Inter striker in action for his side, but for how much longer?
According to 24oredisport.com, Fiorentina have persuaded Argentine forward Julio Cruz to accept their offer of €2 million per year plus bonuses, and the 34-year-old will commit to the Tuscans for the next two seasons.

The Gigliati would sign the striker on a free transfer as his contract with Serie A champions Inter will expire tomorrow.

Cruz seemed on the verge of a move to Greek club Panathinaikos last week but talks broke down as the former Bologna man made it clear he wanted to remain in the peninsula.

Panathinaikos have reportedly contacted Cruz’s representatives again over the last few days, but their fresh attempt is likely to fall flat.

Cruz had played for Inter since 2003 when he joined from Bologna where he had impressed with 30 goals in 98 appearances.
