Juventus To Revise Transfer Plans At Club's AGM – Report
The club are looking at ways to meet transfer targets, but without overspending...
Tuttosport claims the club's plans for reinforcements will become clearer by the end of the day, and the big talking point, apart from the budget, will be Gaetano D'Agostino. The player's proposed transfer from Udinese to Turin stalled on Sunday when Friulani chief Giampaolo Pozzo claimed that Juve's low offer had ended the deal.
With that chase seemingly over, the directors, including president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli, Jean-Claude Blanc and Alessio Secco are likely to talk about alternatives, including Lazio ace Cristian Ledesma. On Sunday, the player's agent claimed there was interest from both Juventus and Milan.
Voices surrounding the club suggest the board will attempt to curb spending this summer as Juve have already spent the transfer budget they had available for this campaign, leading to speculation that this was the reason as to why they failed to offer more for the Udinese man.
Blanc and Secco are now likely to operate on a tight budget, and sales could be the key to raising funds to provision cash for further spending.
