Report: Juventus & Lyon Contemplate David Trezeguet – Fabio Grosso Swap Deal
The possible departure of Benzema for Manchester United could see Lyon turn to ‘Trezegol’, with Grosso moving to Turin in return.
According to reports in the Corriere dello Sport, Juventus and Olympique Lyonnais could discuss a swap deal involving hitman David Trezeguet and Italian international full-back Fabio Grosso if the Ligue 1 side sell star striker Karim Benzema to English giants Manchester United.
The Bianconeri are searching for a left-back and have been repeatedly linked with Grosso and Liverpool man Andrea Dossena.
There have been suggestions that the Corso Galileo Ferraris directors are also tracking Corinthians and Brazil wing-back Andre Santos, who has impressed at the Confederations Cup in South Africa, but Grosso apparently remains coach Ciro Ferrara’s first choice.
Lyon have reportedly received a €35 million bid from the Red Devils for Benzema, and the French heavyweights might use Juve’s interest in Grosso to land Trezeguet, who looks set to leave Turin after nine years.
The Old Lady value Trezeguet at €8m, while Grosso’s valuation is believed to be in the region of €4m.
Grosso has allegedly already agreed personal terms with Juve and would pen a three-year deal worth €2m-per-season.
