Report: Birmingham City Reported To FIFA & FA Regarding Transfer Dealings
Agent Barry McIntosh believes he instigated the transfer of Benitez, but was brushed aside as the Blues used another agent, Barry Silkman, to finalise the transaction...
It seems that Cayman Islands-registered agent Barry McIntosh has made the complaint as he is unhappy with how the Midlands-based outfit have gone about completing the deal.
Apparently, McIntosh believes he setup the deal for the 23-year-old striker, and that the Blues gave him the go-ahead to bring the Ecuador international to England.
However, he feels that Birmingham went behind his back as they opted to use a rival agent, Barry Silkman, to finalise the details of the transfer.
"I believe Birmingham have been very underhand just to get a friend doing the deal," McIntosh is quoted as saying.
Birmingham City are said to have denied any wrongdoing.
