Inter starlet Davide Santon believes Maicon will remain at the club this term, despite the Brazilian being linked with lucrative moves to Real Madrid and Chelsea.

Reports in both England and Spain intensified after Massimo Moratti said players could leave for the right price. The Brazilian ace is being tipped to join Real Madrid, while voices in England claim Chelsea have already made a €30million bid.

However, Santon, who has just returned from the Confederations Cup with Italy, feels his team-mate will remain.

"I think that Maicon will stay as he is a great player. However we have to wait and see what the coach decides," Santon told Sky Sport Italia.

The stopper also spoke about Mario Balotelli. Santon feels the striker could have been called up to the senior squad had he not shown certain attitudes.

"Balotelli was ready to be picked, but perhaps he lacked the attitude of the others. However, he is a great player," added Santon.
