OFFICIAL: Marco Di Vaio Extends Bologna Deal
The Rossoblu have announced they have agreed a deal with Di Vaio over the next two years...
The Genoa-owned striker has been on loan at the Emilia-Romagna club since last summer, and, after scoring a massive 24 goals last term to keep his side in Serie A, he has been rewarded with a two-year loan extension.
A statement on the club's official website reads:
"Bologna FC 1909 would like to communicate that we have reached an agreement with Marco Di Vaio which will keep the player at the club."
Di Vaio's agent Federico Pastorello told Sky Sport Italia, "We found an agreement for two years and Marco has shown his love for the club with his decision.
"There was satisfaction from all parts and it was his desire to stay. The club have brought his wages in line with his good season. Thanks to his will and Bologna's we have reached a deal that suits everyone."
The player finished the season as Serie A's second top-goalscorer behind Inter's Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Sky Sport Italia report it is a two year deal, but the wage agreement remains undisclosed.
